How do you get Colief drops into a demand-fed EBF baby...

...without it being a total PITA??

I express into a small sterilised cup, add the drops, swirl it around a bit then suck it into a sterilised Calpol syringe, as DS2 will only dribble it out if I give it from the cup, and inject it into DS2's screaming, indignant gob. This is totally impractical for night feeds, when we're out and about or when I'm trying to wrangle 2.3yo DS1, so I'm getting one, maybe two, doses into him a day, which isn't enough to know if it's effective. Any other ideas??

TIA! Smile

I didn't manage it either, I'm afraid, but giving you a bump in case someone else can help!

I used them for a while and used to let my DS feed for 20 seconds then take him off and put the drops onto my nipple and then put him back on. That way there was already a small amount of milk in his tummy for the drops to start working on. It's not advised but I'm unable to express so it was my only option really. It seemed to work for us and made it a lot easier to deal with for feeds in the night and when out and about. Might be worth trying?

That's the kind of suggestion I was after. Thanks sometimes
