Bf 5 month old - is she eating enough in 7 minutes flat !!???

Hi, I think I just need some reassurance but I can't quite believe that my 16lb DD is getting enough to eat. She is totally breastfed and seems to eat her fill in 7 or 8 minutes flat - from one boob. After that time she starts to pull off (often without opening mouth - ouch!) so i take her off and give her a good burp and she rarely will take any more. Screams at me if I keep trying.
She's on 4 feeds a day and a dream feed. I've always single side fed - but all the books say they should be having both sides by now. And yes, she is sticking roughly to her growth curve, and she seems chubby and happy. But seven minutes? Does anyone else have a super guzzling baby ?? Am I just being a neurotic mother ?
Thanks,

both of mine used to do a total feed in anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes

strapping babies and strapping children now (2.5 and 5.5)

my DS, 6 months, is the same. We used to take 20 minutes to two hours to feed, but sometimes does megaquick ones. I think hes just got more efficient! Lots of wet/dirty nappies and growing fine... so I guess he is!

My ds was like this.Couldn't believe it as first baby a total limpet.

Normal, and actually not especially fast for a 5 month old I have known many who get what they need in an even shorter time!

Any book that lays down the law about one side, two sides, or the age of a baby when they 'should' be having one or two is rubbish.

BTW TikTok is bf counsellor extraordinaire and there' nothing she doesn't know about mammary milk

Your lil one is obviously doing well and thriving, so...nothing to worry about
I was blessed with "fast feeders"....which is great...usually in 5 minutes all was done I suppose that is why I can never understand how a Bottle could be faster and more convinient, lol....!

Thanks guys this is great, I feel much more relaxed about it now, and DD won't have to suffer me trying to shovel stuff down her that she doesn't want.

You always get so much better sensible advice here than anywhere else I've found. Thank you !!
