Pain in breast but no lump?

Morning everyone
I've been EBF my daughter who is now almost 20 weeks. We've been doing really well but now I have a sore left boob and not sure why?
Last week I had an itchy nipple and a painful lump in the breast. I found a milk bleb (milk blister) on the nipple which I got rid off and the blocked milk poured out! It all went away and was fine and then yesterday the itchy nipple came back with a very tender boob but this time there's no bleb and no lump!?
The initial let down when feeding can he sore and I've checked her latch as I know they can get lazy
Could it be a blocked duct again but without a lump!??

Or could it be thrush as a friend suggested? I've not had that before, my baby is fine tho no symptoms

Thrush is more of a stabby/burning pain - does sound like a blocked duct, keep checking as you may find another bleb appears.

I had blocked ducts a lot with my first baby but haven't with this one at all, would there not be a lump tho?

There's an association between blebs and mastitis but it isn't clear which comes first. Good idea to pay careful attention to positioning and keep the breast well drained as maybe you've caught it early. There may be some useful ideas in this link breastfeeding.support/breasts-full-and-tender/ If the initial let down is sore that often happens if the breast is getting engorged. Some gentle breast compressions may help with thorough drainage breastfeeding.support/what-is-breast-compression/

I've had mastitis three times with dd (never got it with ds) and each time the lump only developed after the pain and soreness. Letdown also definitely gets more painful too. Hope you get it sorted.
