someone to snip tongue tie?

Anyone know of a good, safe, credentials etc. Person who could snip tongue tie in or around birmingham. If today so much the better. Hair tearing, tether end, knees down on, sleep none etc. Its a resnip btw and original snipper unavailable for couple of weeks.

If you don't get a personal recommendation try the Milk Matters website. They have a network of lactation consultants who spot/snip TTs. Hope you get it sorted.

How are you managing Ogilo? The first couple of days feeding a badly latching ds2 were the toughest of my life.

Getting worse. Feeding half feeds only every 45 mins. Two closest milk matters People are away, includes original snipper. Another called petra seems to covr loads of regions except birmingham but shes not picking up. Do you think a and e is an option? Wont take bottle though don't want to push it as suck already disorganised enough on breast.

Cranial osteopath - varying opinion, but my friend swears it helped calm her baby and therefore have more productive feeds.

I started using nipple shields and thought it was working, but my ds still didn't gain enough weight.

Search mumsnet for tongue tie and lip tie. Wealth of information.

I ended up switching to formula at nearly 4 months. This was only possible by putting ds on comfort milk. He couldn't even latch onto a bottle, but the thickness of this formula stopped it just pouring over his face.

Thank you. Dont know if we could travel that far. Can barely feed here. Doing osteopath and tried sheilds! Snipping made all the difference but everyday it seems to grow back more/tighter again. Cant believe there's only one person doing procedure in birmingham. Seems crazy.:(

How is weight gain? Is private an option money wise?

We got back to the specialist a second time due to my dp's calm but persuasive persistence. He basically went to the doctor and said we needed referred again ASAP. Breastfeeding wasn't happening. He then phoned specialist and checked to see if referral had been sent, rushed it along basically and had us seen a day later. Can your doctor/out of hours not get you referred somewhere else?

Is it too late for you go to back to the maternity unit? We had an amazing breast feeding advisor.

Unfortunately, even with a second snip it was too late for us. The specialist said he would just not be a good feeder. I think he had upper lip tie but no one was interested. I think if it had been my first child I might have managed it, but ds2 was needing fed constantly and then sleeping all night through exhaustion. I can't actually look at photos from the period.

Not weighed since regrowth took effect this last week but okish before then. Its just everyone seems to be away. Will try suzanne barber, thanks for that. Hospital just not answering phone either but don't expect sympathy from them. Expecting to pay again though there was a discount for resnip if we could wait a few weeks.just don't see how that is possible.so unsettled and full of wind all the time.thanks for all info and advice.

Do you have a decent breast feeding clinic or health visitor near you. I found turning up at breast feeding clinic (in the hospital) in floods of tears and saying I wasn't leaving until I had help quite helpful in itself
