overnight stays for breastfeeding baby

My dh and I split up when ds was 7 months old, I attachment parent, co sleep and breastfeed on demand. My dh has always worked nights and never shared a bed with us. Dh moved into a small caravan and has had ds 3 times a week daytime visits. Ds is now 11 months old, still breastfeeding and wakes 2-3 times in the night for comfort feed. Dh is now requesting overnight stays at his caravan, i am opposing until ds is around 2 years old, for his emotional well being, breastfeeding will have ceased and separation anxiety diminished. Dh is now threatening with court action. What are your thoughts on this?

Hold your ground here. He simply cannot expect to wrench your DS away like that. Would be distressing all round.

3 daytime visits is enough for his age. Don't get me wrong, it's great that he wants to spend time with his son...but he needs to appreciate what's best for your DS.

I doubt there is any judge that would decide on overnight stays...not that it would get as far as court.

Thank you, I hope he doesn't take it as far as court, I'm not denying him access and won't deny him overnight stays when DS gets older.. so I suppose if he does decide on court action he will have wasted a lot of money for nothing!
