onmeo milk- smaller tummy!?

my ds has always been quite sick after his feed so i thought i'd try omneo comfort milk. he wasn't sick at all afterwards and his tummy was smaller than it normally does after a feed, despite having the same quantity. i wonder if this could mean he is less windy with onmeo? is a bigger tummy a sign of wind?

yes, bigger tummy is sign of wind.both my children had bad colic 7 constipation and projectile vomitting and ive been advised if i decide to have another child to try and use that formula as the babies are supposed to be more settled, less sick and not scream half as much or be windy.good luck with it.i hope it works for you.please keep us informed.

I've been using omneo for 3 months due to reflux/sicky baby - it helped a lot. Instead of bringing up a whole feed, Cara would bring up a little clear liquid and lately is hardly ever sick. I did think maybe she'd grown out of the puking so put her back on the normal stuff but it came straight back up the first time I gave it to her...

thanks for that! Did you always add formula to hot water, or is it ok to add to room temp water? Out of interest, how old is your baby now?

Hi, I made omneo bottles up for a prem baby in a night nanny job I did, and IIRC it needs to be mixed with hot water, or the formula didn't dissolve properly.

She's 24 weeks. I make the formula with room temperature water and just give it a good shake - never had any problems. It can sometimes block the teat tho, so check it's flowing before you feed.

I used omneo and ds loved it. I bf and topped up with formula, id give him a bottle of it to go to bed with. Its quite creamy and thick so he'd really take his time drinking it, you could tell he really enjoyed it. He was alot less windy with it too.

The advise is to use warm water but i use room temp and it needs a really good shaketo mixup properly.

Had similar problems early on and used omneo and it seemed to help a lot. After a while though, he seemed to be sucking very hard and getting frustrated even on a bigger teat. Maybe the thick consistency? I then changed to aptamil and he was fine.

Have been using Comfort as had sicky windy baby and has really helped, but have also noticed that formula doesn't dissolve properly when added to room temp water. Was wondering whether it's poss to make up feed with hot water and then refridgerate until needed. Also whether anyone had advice when it's safe to stop using Comfort?

dear all, desperate for some advice. I have been breastfeeding for 5 months, now trying to stop and start bottlefeeding with formula. tried about 5 weeks ago with SMA gold - 3 hours later, baby violently vomited the entire contents. left it for 5 weeks then tried again today. used the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles and teats which he accepted no problem. this time gave him the cow & gate first infant formula - 1 hour later, violently vomited up the entire contents again, this time vomiting 6 times in an hour. it comes up so horribly, its out of his nose and everything. he is not usually a sicky baby at all. has this happened to anyone else? is their going to be a big problem with formula? or do I need to keep trying different ones? any suggestions?? please help, I'm back to work soon and he needs to be on a bottle by then. thanks

That sounds like a really extreme reaction - he may be allergic to formula. Have you tried mixing bm and formula together and seeing how he copes? Otherwise I reckon a trip to the GP for you...
