Has anyone seen this ?
Maybe it has been discussed and I missed it....

I wonder what will happen to the Nanny brand, I know many mothers rely on it!

that is terrible. off to read link.

have read link.

fuck what the evidence says: ds had eczema when he had formula and it went away with nanny formula.

i breast fed to ten months (the eczema appeared at 4 months when he was still being exclusively breastfed). to this day if we keep him off cows milk products (we are more lax now then we should be) he has no eczema and it immediately appears if he has cows milk stuff.

this is awful.

Well i also just saw this:
Health Tip - Infant Colic
Did you know millions of babies around the world suffer from prolonged bouts of crying that could be linked to their (or their mother?s) consumption of cow?s milk?
Dr Alexander K Leung of the University of Calgary, Alberta, states: ?Typically infants with colic scream, draw their knees up against the abdomen and appear to be in great pain. They may pass some flatus, be quiet for a few moments, and then begin crying again. These episodes usually occur late in the day or evening, and may last from a few hours to many hours.? [i]
Dr Anthony Kulcyzcki at the Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis is part of a growing number of scientists who believe cows may be responsible: ?Most mothers have an incredible amount of cow antibodies in their milk,? he states. Kulcyzcki?s research shows the more cow antibodies found in the mother, the more colicky the infant suckling her milk. Mothers with the least cow antibodies had no colicky infants at all.
Old-timers of the Campaign for Truth in Medicine need no reminding of my stance on cow?s milk. It?s for baby cows. Once babies are weaned, all the calcium and protein they need can be easily derived from natural whole-foods (ask yourself where the cow gets the calcium!). Aside from the terrible non-sequitur of removing a human infant from its mother?s breast, only to stick it under the udders of a completely different species, the unguent proteins contained in Daisy juice are a sure-fire terrorist campaign on the average two-legged immune system, which, by the way, is not properly formed until year three.
Author and researcher Jean Carper: ?Diet is by no means always implicated in infant colic but should always be a serious suspect. That colicky infants could be in such agony because of something they ate seems almost beyond belief. Yet some researchers believe that the majority of infants with colic ? or some five hundred thousand newborns a year in the United States alone ? suffer dreadfully and inflict overwhelming distress on their parents mainly because their food disagrees with them. The number one culprit: milk.? [ii]
