Should i expect to be "hormonal" when giving up BFing?

DS is now only BFing morning and night - last few days i've been feeling very tearful. Are hormones affected when stopping BFing? DS is 4 months btw

TIA X

i always did - this is one of the reason I am still continuing to exclusively bfeed tbh

It does pass though over a week or so

YUp, when you stop to bf your hormones probably will go all over the place...I always was tearful and hormonal when stopping to bf!

yep gave up feeding dd1 at 12 months - very hormonal afterwards. Have the joys of doing it all over again with dd2 now! `

DS started biting suddenly when I was 9 wks pg a couple of months ago. We were forced to stop. I cried for days and really wasn't sure I'd get over it... it must have been hormones as we're coping now! Although I do still miss it.

yes I stopped at 17 weeks and had the week from hell. dd got constipated when I stopped bf, so beware of this, but yes lots of tears and tanrums for about a week
