Why do the TT sports bottles say 36mo+ ?

My 9mo began refusing bottles at about 4mo. He is a very good eater and is bf at bedtime and breakfast. I know that's not really enough milk but I work. He is eating plenty of dairy and gaining weight well so I'm not that stressed but would obviously like him to take more milk.
He's okish with a TT sippy cup, drinks water in it at meals, but recently I've noticed that he really really likes drinking water from dh or my sports bottle. I was thinking of trying milk in a baby sports bottle. Any idea why they say 36mo+ on them?

probably not been tested under that age and may be some sort of choking hazard if a part detached. (it costs more to test for younger age groups)
