DS is 9 months and has been distracted when feeding since about 5 or 6 months. now he has taken to pinching around my nipples while hes feeding which bloody hurts when he uses his nails. also he keeps bobbing off, looking at me while tweeking and pinching and milk is dripping everywhere.

i know theres probably not alot i can do. i just wanted a bit of a whinge really.

looks like my public BF days may be numbered. LOL

as soon as he starts messing take him off the boob and do your bra back up. he will soon learn if he wants milk he has to be good!

what about when of those breastfeeding necklaces?Someone will be along in a bit who knows the ones I mean.Or try google.

I used a nursing necklace (not from this company I hasten to add, this is just an example). It was great. For a couple of days. Then it snapped . My advice is, they're good, but get one which is strung onto a leather thong, less snap-able!

DD is 9 months and sounds like your little un.I usually give her a teething ring or something to grasp onto to stop the grabbing/pinching thing.Sometimes she bashes it against the boob though, but not as painful as grabbing nipples!!!!The only prob is when she keeps breaking off to nose around at the world if she hears an unfamiliar noise.Quite embarrassing in the middle of a crowded place with your boobs on display to all and sundry!!!

yeah i know what you mean about the boob flashing LOL. i'll try all the suggestions and see what works.
