microwave steriliser bags - how long do things stay sterile

I can't seem to find anything about how long things sterilised in an Ardo microwave bag remain sterile for. I'm going on an all day trip and would like to take a bottle teat with me in the microwave bag so that I can use the teat at some point in the morning, probably a few hours after it was sterilised. Does anyone know whether it will still be sterile? Thank you mumsnetters.

The bottle doesn't need to stay sterile. Just sterilise it, assemble it and pop it into your bag.

The reason you sterilise is to kill the dangerous bacteria that can be present in powdered formula.

Hmm. O use the microwave bags and if I was in your situation I would sterilise a whole bottle and put the teat in the bottle with the lid on so I knew it was still sterile when I came to use it. This may well be overkill tho.

I am of the same opinion as stargirl. I always sterilised to kill the bacteria that love milk, not general air born germs. I'm very sure that the bottle will be fine sterilised, assembled and kept in your bag.

Of course - I can sterilise bottles and use them. Thank you so much.
