Herbal Nytol whilst breastfeeding?

I have a 5 wk old DS who is ebf. He's going about 3 hours between feeds, but I'm having great difficulty getting back to sleep myself between feeds. Some nights I'm awake the whole time between feeds.

I had this same problem when my DD was a baby, and I ended up pretty much having a breakdown from lack of sleep, so am panicking about this happening again. Obviously I don't want to take any hardcore sleeping pills because of the bf, but has anyone taken herbal Nytol whilst bf? Doesn't specifically say not to on the leaflet, just says to discuss with GP.

I had the same trouble with my DD, and didn't want to take something oral everyday when I was breastfeeding. In the end I found that acupressure was great at chilling me out and putting me back to sleep. I still use it now if I can't sleep and my DD is 3! works a treat on her too when she's too wired to sleep.
best wishes

What about relaxation techniques or a CD to listen to? Sometimes the panicking about not getting enough sleep can prevent getting to sleep rather frustratingly!
