Theres plenty of negativity around here at the moment. Despite this negative, and despite myself even posting some negative comments I feel that I wouldn't have come as far as I did without MN.

I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can all see some of the triumphs of MN breast/bottle feeding area - so here goes.

A couple of points for a start:
No negativity of any sort allowed - find another thread
Doesn't matter how you feed/fed your baby (could have even been saline down a funnel for all I care - well maybe not)
You don't need to defend your feeding choices in any way
Lets try not to mention "those" threads.
This is a pure "MN did this wonderful thing for me" thread.

So what has this discussion board done for you? I'll start

I genuinely believe I would have given up by 3 wks without complete support from strangers - and we don't even know each others first names.
Got me through the 2wk growth spurt, 6wk growth spurt in particular. Taught me that my baby was totally normal. Taught that I wasn't alone or unique. Helped me go with the flow...
When I was BFing the shear support in general was immense - without even considering the quality of the practical advice.
Now I am a FFer a quote from Mears sticks in my mind whenever I feel a little low about it. It went something along the lines of "I actually feel good when a woman hating BFing admits this & asks for a bottle - It's a brave decision"

Many thanks to all those who posted on these threads - you are wanted, needed & massively appreciated

Reading this back - it is a crap OP but I think you get the idea.

I couldn't get a latch and ended up expressing for 12 weeks. The support I received was great and no one condemned me when I decided that I couldn't do it any more because I wasn't spending much time with my dd or being a fun mummy anymore.
