How did you give up b/feeding at bedtime?

My DS is 14 mths & he is now just on 1 b/feed per day - at bedtime. He rarely falls asleep on the breast but enjoys his milk & the cuddle, gives me a big grin when he's had enough & then stretches out to go into his bed.

I am really worried about how to give up as he sleeps brilliantly, & I do feel that the b/feed settles him. We do have a set bedtime routine though.

Has anyone got any tips or experiences to share?

was exactly the same as you, just one feed at night that wasn't sending her to sleep. one night i just stopped, gave her a bottle of goats milk instead and she didn't blink an eye. was quite upset actually as i'd hoped for some resistance!

ds2 is 6 months and due to work he get a breast fed at night time. sell his soul for it. it is begining to get shorter and probably less milk. sometie=mes i think he just likes the cuddle and pretends to suck. if you want to give up maybe just a bottle or cup of milk may do it
