13 month old feeding like a newborn - can't bear it anymore.

She feeds 3-4 times a night and up to 10 times a day. If I refuse to feed her she screams and claws at me. Her record for this is two hours. I just can't do it anymore. This morning since seven she has had 4 feeds. 4 feeds in 3 hours. She is very variable in the solids she eats and will only drink tiny amounts. Totally refuses bottles. I need to stop or at least cut down.

Any advice?

I remember this with mine - just after their first birthday, it was like having a newborn again!

It was a long time ago, but I remember using distraction as much as possible, and tried to get out of the house as much as possible.

try and ignore the screaming - it was a phase, and it passed. With my son, we then carried on until he was three!

good luck

If it has increased a lot suddenly could it be teething?
Mine wanted to comfort feed at that age due to molars.

Yeah I think it could be teething. It's hard going but I suppose it's nice to be able to comfort her.

I try not to give her too much calpol but I give it to her now and again. Very effective!
