Introduced bottle of formula at bedtime...is it causing his nighttime snottiness?

My ds is 4 months and started waking up more in the night. I decided to try giving him a bottle of formula at bed time about a week ago as my milk supply is low in the evening.
He has started becoming really snotty at night. We thought it was the start of a cold but he seems absolutely fine in the day.
My other 2 were ebf, but they woke up loads at night to feed so I don´t have experience with formula - is this a possible reaction - can it be mucus-forming?
He had nasty bronchiolitis at 7 weeks so any kind of mucus or snuffling makes me mega nervous and unable to sleep - I am so exhausted.
I do want to encourage him to sleep well though so if I go back to bf in the evening, I worry I am going to have another baby who doesn´t sleep through the night and I don´t think I can cope with 3 kids on no sleep!!

I'd be interested in other people's experiences of this too. I give DS a bottle of formula for 10pm dreamfeed and have done from about 3 weeks. He started sleeping through at 6 weeks, which was fab, but has always been very snotty in the night. Could this be why? DD never suffered this though and was fed in the same way... Also, DS has just started to wake for a night feed again at 3am Confused. He's a big boy (16+lb at 12 weeks). How do I make him start sleeping through again?!?

My DS is 15 weeks and is incredibly snotty at night- really bad snoring. He's been mix fed since he was 3 weeks. I brought it up with the GP and he said that it was probably due to him being a Winter baby- that there are just so many bugs going around?????? He sleeps through the night and it's like sharing a room with a pig!!!!!

Lol at the pig comment Nicky. I often say DH's snoring sounds like he's truffling Wink
