Breastfed baby hates bottles - advice please!

I've been successfully EBFing my 12wo since birth but we're now at the point where I'm ready to leave her for short periods with DH or MIL. The problem is that DD won't take any kind of a bottle. I can express plenty of milk,we just can't get it into the baby!

We tried the cheapest teat we could from Boots on advice of mw as it's quite soft, medela slow flow and medela calma teats. At the beginning the cheap teat had a bit of success but we didn't do it often and she won't take it now. She gags on the calma teat and gets upset.

DH is in charge of this as I always smell of milk, and I don't want to keep nagging but I'd really like to be able to go out sometimes! He's getting himself upset by this, as DD just screams and screams and won't stop until she gets real boob.

All suggestions gratefully accepted! Thanks x

In a similar situation, a few of my friends have found that their babies would take MAM teats.

All 3 of mine refused bottles very strongly.
I think today's advice is to try a cup

I didn't breastfeed for very long so don't have much to add. But have you tried Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles? I use them and they are very much like nipples and are very soft x

My DS would (very reluctantly) take the Avent bottle but only when I was off the premises!

At about 4mo we had some success with the Avent soft spout cup.

A friend advised softening the bottle teat in hot water (this does mean the teat prob won't last as long) but tbh the whole bottle thing was so stressful and annoying that I just gave up on it! Will be going out every other night when DS is off the boob :)

NUK First Choice Latex teats worked best for us, and I tried tons. Still, DS only agreed to drink bare minimum and preferred to wait for me to get home. But once he learned to use an open cup (doidy cup), has no issues with milk and gulps it down happily.

Boots basic bottle worked a dream for us. 2.79 for 3 too, bargain! As recommended by my hv.
