Breast feeding and travelling

I am going to majorca with my 15 week baby next week. I breastfeed and was wanting to take a couple of bottles of expressed milk with me on the airplane. I normally take the milk in a cool bag with an ice pack but wondered if I would be allowed to do this. Also I do not want to try the milk as obviously once it is opened it won't be able to be save it for the flight.
Any advice would be welcomed.

You prob need to call the airline

If you opened it and tried the milk it would still be fine for the flight

LoobyLo - it would be far easier just to breastfeed on the plane. No-one will see you at all. I breastfed my DD when we went to Florida when she was 8 months old. No-one noticed.

Thanks for advice. Am hoping to feed her on plane but sometimes when she is overtired or I am stressed she seems to find it easier to feed from a bottle than of me.

As it is your breastmilk and it would be you that is opening there really is no problem. breastmilk is not like formula and has anti-infective properties. It will be fine. Don't worry.

yes I agree with the last message- you can open & taste & then reseal & its fine- its different to formula-as long as it skeep cold & once you have heated it you dont reheat it- I have breastfed now for 10 mths & too went to majorca (youll have a great time)! Breast feeding will make the holiday alot easier- no hassell of bottles etc...
Also- my sn is sooooooooooo nosey & is very hard now to breastfeed in public as wants to look around- however- he was great on the plane- he latched on & fed no probs- so you never know- give it a try- its alot better for the ear popping- my little ones ears were fine while alot of the other babies were screaming & i think it was because of the breatfeeding on landing
