toddler 21 months BF at night

my DS is BF, 21 months and he wakes up about 15 times a night to feed/ to comfort? I do try pull out technique - getting him off the breast, but it did not help...Just wonder whetehr I coudl ask my husband to step in and offer water? he does not like cows milk...

We did something like this with DS1 when he was about 20 months (though not feeding nearly as frequently) - worked very well.

A lot of daddy cuddling was involved, we didn't really offer any alternative drinks as I was pretty sure he was feeding for comfort rather than being actually hungry/thirsty. Always had a sippy cup of water beside his cot in case he did actually want some.
