BF - what do you wear to sleep in?

I've had breast thrush for the last 10 weeks (owww!) so been sleeping in a feeding bra with breast pads as I couldn't bear the sheets touching me. Now its gone (yayy!) I have been sleeping naked and my milk supply has really increased which is great news. Not so great is that I keep waking covered in milk and the bed soaking. So... what do you wear to bed, and how do you keep the breast pads in?

I wear a bf bra and a nightie that opens down the front, used to need breast pads during the night but dog anymore

CuteLittleToes · 11/02/2014 17:35

I just wear my regular pjs - my supply has settled down though do I don't leak anymore.

islingtongirl · 11/02/2014 17:51

I wear a nightshirt or strappy top I can pull down with bfding bra (and pads)

CityDweller · 11/02/2014 18:05

I couldn't get on with sleeping in a bra (and I got repeated mastits and blocked ducts, so didn't want anything pressing into me). I wore a vest with a bit of support and stuck breastpads in that. But once my supply settled down I went without the pads.

Fantastic that you thrush has gone Smile. I used to tie a diagonally folded muslin cloth around my boobs as I can't sleep in a bra, or stuff Muslins down a vest if really cold but I get night sweats when feeding so not often able to do that. Sleep on a towel in warm weather, I have oversupply issues!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/02/2014 18:09

I slept in a night time bra, I think it was by Carriwell. It was soft jersey with a little bit of structure so you feel supported. You can just pull the cups to the side for easy feeds.

Jollyb · 11/02/2014 18:15

Bravado seamless tank

FurryGiraffe · 11/02/2014 18:17

H and M nursing vests- built in support so something to hold breast pads in, and easy access, but not too tight.

mrsspagbol · 11/02/2014 19:29

Mamas and papas breastfeeding nighties with breast psds in. I am SICK to death of them (only have 2!)

PumpingRSI · 11/02/2014 21:43

Cotton crop top under long shirt type nightie - all cheaply available in primark. if I need breast pads the crop top holds them in (bamboo reusable ones were best for me which I got from ebay) or if not when I'm feeding DS I just shove a muslin down the top on the other side I'm not feeding from.

VikingLady · 11/02/2014 21:52

When I was still very leaky I wore a vest with a shelf-type support from Primark, and just hauled one side down to feed from. It was enough to hold pads in place, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Now I wear a pyjama top with buttons down the front (in cold weather - my shoulders freeze with no top).

FrumiousBandersnatch · 12/02/2014 09:37

H&M nursing vests here too.

MistletoeBUTNOwine · 12/02/2014 10:22

I use those crop top/ bra things, from wilkos and groupon! £15 for a pack of 3 I think, hold pads in just whip boob out to feed Grin

pinkr · 12/02/2014 19:12

nothing! easiest I think!

StuckOnARollercoaster · 12/02/2014 19:26

while i was leaking I used these
I used to sleep naked but find that its too cold for a night feed so I'll just wear regular pyjamas or buttoned nightshirt so don't feel cold when I have to get out from under the duvet

StinkerBoo · 12/02/2014 19:49

£5 soft bra top from Sainsbo's, just yank it down to feed in the night and keeps breast pads in place!

BonaDea · 12/02/2014 19:57

OP - congrats on getting rid of the thrush! It is a nightmare I have been through and just wanted to say well done for hanging in.

Re sleep wear. I don't have an issue with leaks and so just sleep in my spaghetti strap vest that I've worn under my top all day.

cowbiscuits · 12/02/2014 20:08

I had a couple of breastfeeding nighties a friend gave me but I wouldn't have bought them. I would would wear pyjamas with a top that buttons down or is low/stretchy. I would put a Folded muslin down my front, hated breast pads. It stayed in place ok, or you could use a cheap stretchy vest top with muslin down it.

cowbiscuits · 12/02/2014 20:09

I couldn't sleep in a bra

StillPukin · 12/02/2014 20:36

I wear the vest-top to my maternity pyjamas, its elasticated around the boobs so I can fit some pads in to catch any leakage. its also very elasticated and soft so its easy to get access for feeding

MyNameIsSuz · 12/02/2014 20:43

I wore the breastfeeding vest tops from Jojo Maman Bebe, they were quite expensive but really supportive and kept the pads firmly against my boobs! Otherwise I wore a Belvia bra under a normal pyjama top, so comfy it didn't feel like I was wearing one at all.

PorkPieandPickle · 13/02/2014 00:30

I can't sleep in a bra i find them too tight, I wear a bikini top to bed to keep breast pads in.
