They're having a poll again.

Apparently (according to a poster in an fb group I'm in) the question was originally "is it ok to bf past a year? " and this was at 80% yes. The question is now "is it ok for a Mum to bf her 4 year old? "

Obviously didn't get the expected or desired response the first time.

Feel free to vote and/or roll your eyes.

I missed out the bit that they are having a segment on extended breastfeeding tomorrow. I'm sure it will be very informative and factual.

Today not tomorrow. Sorry! Blush

Hmmm, how stupid. I do hate this kind of thing too. I clicked on the link and it says poll closed, wonder if they closed it when they got the percentage they were looking for?

Bizzarrely the poll on the site says that 91.2% of people responded that it was acceptable to bf a 4yo, but over 12 months 80% of people disagreed with it Hmm

I'm working so didn't see the programme.

Just watched the clip and even Dr Hilary was v positive about it this time, pointing out that the problem is with our society and not the extended breastfeeding. Shock

Neither of the polls were mentioned.

The Mum on the show was really great at explaining how it was just a normal thing.

My eyes have stopped rolling now. Grin

I saw the clip posted on a FB group, and I was pleasantly surprised about how positive it was. The doctor and the mum were both really sweet, it was just a shame they didn't have longer to talk. Interesting they didn't mention the polls - obviously neither of them gave the knee jerk no-thats-horribly-wrong reaction they wanted.
