How to stop bf 1 year old if its the only way she will settle?

Just tried to jiggle her to sleep instead but it was a battle and I ended up giving up. She wasn't desperate for milk, just fighting sleep. As soon as she was on the boob she fell asleep. I feel sad enough about stopping anyway but it hurts now with all her teeth and I want to lose some weight so it feels like the right time.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Is it best just to sod it and carry on for an easy life (for me and her?).

I don't know! I actually feel really sad about stopping but then I think I would whether I stopped now or in another year. I know I want to lose weight and I don't want to have to worry about milk supply. So I'm pretty sure I'm ready to stop. Its my fault really as I've always fed her to sleep but I can imagine that the longer I keep feeding her the harder it will be to stop.
