How to stop bf 1 year old if won't drink milk?

I'm ready to stop bf my 1 year. We're down to 3 or sometimes 4 feeds a day. She won't drink whole milk from a bottle or cup though (or formula). She has cereal (with whole milk) every day and usually a yoghurt or mash with milk in - will that do or so I need to persevere with her drinking milk on its own? I'm worried though about whether she will then be hydrated enough as she never drinks that much water with meals either.

If you want to stop, just do. Both of mine had a clear 2 weeks between stopping bfing and accepting cows milk. Can see his reasoning after all, why have cows milk from a cup when he can have yummy milk made just for him and a cuddle from you Smile

Once you've stopped bfing completely he should be on 300 ml a day of full fat cows milk, you can include milk used on cereals and in cooking. Once he's reached 2 there is no minimum amount set.

Oh and don't bother with formula or toddler milk, they're not recommended after one year.

DS didn't really drink milk after I stopped bfing at 13 months. It wasn't too hard to get 300-350ml of milk into him though.

100ml of milk on a weetabix or readybrek
small yoghurt
cheese cubes for a snack
cheese sauce
custard
rice pudding

I'd offer a couple of beakers (100ml) of milk in the day too, which he sometimes sipped.

Didn't really start drinking milk until 2.5ish - now he's 3.5 and will drink loads!
