15 month old BF too much - help me troubleshoot

Hi,

On the whole I'm proud to still be BF my 15 month old, and she was getting better and better at eating/having cow's milk and sleeping through. But recently (because of teething) she's regressed. I am really worn out and don't know what to do - should I give up BF? She is very healthy and clever and happy in the main.

Our day looks like this (from bedtime)

Down at 7
Wake between 10-1 crying needing to bf to resettle
Wake at 4.30 every day - bf to resettle
6am up for the day

milk, breakfast, play
11.30 lunch
12 nap [45 mins to 1hr.15]
play/snacks etc.
5pm supper
6pm bath / stories
7pm bed.

Please help me I am so fed up.

p.s. I have tried to get her to have longer/two naps but it is impossible.

I can't say I am an expert as my 13m old still has (IMO) far too much boob in the day; but I have cracked the nighttime - I do not allow milk from 11pm until 6am. She seems to have cottoned on to this after 3 horrible nights and now only expects a cuddle for the nightie wakings (and she accepts this). Tends to look like this:

Bath/bed by 7.30pm
Awaken an hour later ish, cuddle
Awaken 10.30ish, boob and bed
awake 2am, cuddle
awake 4.30, cuddle
awake 6.45, boob and into my bed for lie in (god I am dreading going to work!!)
Up at about 8, sometimes later, breakfast
boob and a nap after breakfast, unless we are going out in which case tough
if no post-breakfast nap she lasts till about 11.30 then nap, of anything from 45min to 2h
lunch on waking
boob for pudding
play, walk, whatever
tea at 6

Some nights she will sleep right from 11 till 6, other nights there will be a couple of wakings: I keep a dim light (string of amethyst ikea fairy lights) in her room in the eve and turn it off at the last feed so she 'knows' its the last chance, seems she has taken the hint. Thing is, her Dad is a crap sleeper too so I think it is too much to expect the magic 'sleeping through' baby.

good luck :-)
