BF 15mo suddenly painful latch ow

Haven't had problems with painful latch since dd was a few days/weeks old. Suddenly feeding is agony. When she comes off there are teeth marks on my boob. This has never happened before. What's going on? Is it teething? She has 8 teeth and her teething has never caused me pain in the past. Any ideas what's going on? She recently dropped a couple of feeds so we're now down to first thing, before nap and before bed. Would that make a difference? Can't see how? Help. Ow.

We've experienced this on and off for the last few months (dd is 14 mo), usually when she's teething.

It's worth going back to basics and rechecking her latch as dd became a bit lazy - we feed lying down and she wasn't quite tummy-to-tummy with me and so her teeth were pulling and scraping me - ouch!
