12 month old - suddenly shallow, painful latch

Does anyone have any tips or experience? Dd has just turned a year, and her latch has went to pot. No new teeth (poor mite only has 2!). She latches on fine, but then pulls so far back she's practically nipple feeding. I plan on letting her self wean, but bloody hell this is sore!

No advice but hoping you get some as I have the same problem with DS and have let it go on for months. And it really hurts!
I think it may have coincided with him getting teeth as he was quite late getting any.
