4 month old literally pushing one breast away

He will feed off the breast but reluctantly. When he's placed on that side he literally pushes the breast away with his little hand. Any reason why this could be? Fast flow perhaps?

Could be flow, or baby may have a sore neck and not like being held that side?

Have you tried rugby ball hold to try and trick baby that they are feeding from the other side?

Ds did that for a bit, i think i eventually put it down to sore ear or teeth, i tried giving non favourite boob from different position, like him tucked under an arm, this seemed to help, and sometimes starting him on his favourite side, then mid feed swapping with as little disruption as possible also worked!!
Think i would be tempted to get him checked by gp if noimprovement?

I've tried different positions and he will nurse but only after persuasion. He much prefers the other side.

If the problem is fast flow, leaning/lying back to feed can help. Dc had a preferred side and in the end fed from that side exclusively. I probably looked a bit uneven for a few months, but the baby was fed and happy.

oh yes it could be an ear infection, often they clear on their on own but it may be worth taking him to dr for a check over.
