I've read sooo many threads where toddlers have lost interest in bm when mum got pregnant again. "Oh he just self weaned" they promised.

Sob. He hasn't. I'm going to have to do this the hard way aren't I? Any tips? He's two and currently just nursing before bed. I just want a few months off before the next one arrives.

Congrats! How pregnant are you? My milk supply was fine for the first few months and we carried on as normal, it was about five months pregnant that DS was complaining it tasted different and my supply dropped. It was fairly easy to wean him then, although I think he would have happily dry nursed. I found breast feeding whilst pregnant so painful though, I was desperate for a break too!

Was going to say the same thing, DS1 didn't self wean until I was about five months gone as well

Haha. Thanks chutes - only seven weeks so don't tell any one please Grin

Ugh. I don't think I can do another four months. Going to have to take control aren't I?

If it's just bf at bedtime then maybe it's time for a new bedtime routine that just DH does?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 30/12/2013 12:10

Yeah, I was thinking maybe a week's beach holiday for me while milk dries up and dh creates a new routine Grin
