Stomach cramps and weaning

I stopped breast feeding my 12mo last week, I had cut down gradually to a morning and night feed and once or twice in the night but decided to stop all together once we hit 12 months so as not to confuse DS.

I've not been engorged or unbearably uncomfortable so haven't expressed.

Over the last few days I've had mood swings, nausea and stomach cramps which are getting progressively worse. I felt v similar when I was first pregnant so I did a test which was negative!

Wondered if it's maybe something to do with hormones and weaning? Or if anyone has experienced similar?

I've had exactly the same this last week. If I didn't know better id swear I was pg but I think it's just a bug.

Yep, dd weaned last week too, she's 14 months. My bf support group warned me about a hormone dip afterwards and that mood swings/feeling depressed or tearful is common after you finish feeding. I've had a squitty tummy too (tmi?) don't know if that's related?

Thanks for replies! Could be a bug I suppose but it comes and goes so I don't know! Hopefully what ever it is will pass soon... Feel rubbish!!
