Brews feeding query - for 2 week old baby

Ok so what is my baby doin here?
Most of day she bf ok and well. Towards evening she gets this strange thing going on that has been happening for last 3 or 4 days. She is on breast and then pulls off and cries and wriggles and squirms but at same time she is still really hungry cos she frantically tries to eat her hands etc. I give her a bottle at night as I couldn't cope with the amount of feeding she demands all day and night. It was making me feel terrible. But I been doing that since a week or so, so I'm not sure related?
Could it be wind?? If so then what should I do? I burp her if I can after feeds. I'm really not sure what's going on here?

It sounds like a perfectly normal combination of cluster feeding and the need to change position/have a burp/stay as close as possible to you....very typical of young babies, very typical in the evenings.

When she wriggles and squirms sit her up and rub/pat her back, in case she wants to burp, then put her back on again.

Just breastfeeding while this phase is going on is often a lot easier than preparing a bottle and then bottle feeding her.

What she said. Offering the bottle gets in the way of the natural signals so doesn't help really unless you're cross-eyed with exhaustion and someone else gives it, obviously.

This kind of growth spurt crazy demand doesn't last long, and is often followed by a sleepy few days when your supply catches up.

Brew and Cake for you.
