Posseting - is it acidic in smell?

Just wanted to check - when your little one possets does it smell acidic?

Sitting here with a damp shoulder and keep getting wafts of acidic vomit smell and wanted to check that this is ok or something I need to bring up with the Dr at my DS' 6 week appt.

Smells of sour milk in my experience. I breastfed but think my ff friends said that their baby's spit ups smelt vile.

I was chatting with a friend today whose son had awful reflux and she said she could often smell his stomach acid on his breath and in his vomit so perhaps it is or will become reflux

Thanks ladies - reflux was my fear......

Has anyone tried Aptamil for reflux? Did they see any improvement?
