Ff newborn - time between feeds/amount of milk?

Hi everyone Smile

My little boy is 19 days old. He was (is) a big boy - 9lb 6oz at birth and at 13 days was 9lb 10oz.

I'm a first time mum and just wondering whether the amount of milk he takes and how often seems normal?

He takes around 3oz (occassionally a bit less) every 2-3 hours (bf didn't work out for us so he is ff).

Does this seem ok? He is never sick after feeds and settles well. He is definitely hungry as we know the signs he does when hungry e.g. sucking fingers, turning his head.

I don't see the mw until the end of the week so just wanted some other views/any advice?

I should say he is a happy boy and seems healthy.

TIA

He sounds like he's doing fine. If he's settled between feeds, doing plenty of wet and dirty nappies and keeping milk down that's all good.

Hi Pumpkin congratulations! I expressed and bottle fed my DD (who was a bit smaller than your little one) but she was about the same, feeding every two to three hours and similar amounts. She started going longer at around 18 weeks from memory.

Thank you that's reassuring Smile

Was just worried I was over feeding him!
