Suddenly very fussy feeder

DS is almost ebf with the exception of one bottle at bed time. Over the last couple of days he has suddenly become massively fussy when feeding, pulling off the nipple constantly, wriggling, flailing his arms around and beating me on the chest with his tiny ineffectual fists! It all makes for a very tiring session each time.

I really have no clue what it is as has always fed really well up to now. He is a very big baby, is prone to getting over tired as fights against sleep during the day, and has recently started drinking a huge amount, which makes me wonder if it's teething pain.

Sounds tiring! Could be one of a lot of things I suppose. Wouldn't it make much more sense if they designed babies that were born talking and they could just tell us what was wrong?!
Maybe he just has a bug, maybe it is teething. Have you eaten anything out of the ordinary in the last couple of days? Or maybe he is having a growth spurt and is particularly hungry and getting frustrated at not being able to instantly satisfy hunger? Maybe try feeding him before he gets really hungry, if it's possible to judge that?
Otherwise I would just give it a few more days, it could be nothing much and could pass as soon as it arrived. Good luck!

Sounds just like mine, she wouldn't feed off me so we got her to drink expressed milk from bottle. She is 17 weeks and first tooth has come through today. Is your baby showing other signs of teething?
