ds had a blood test done when he was about 14mo and he lay still and didn't cry when they stuck the great big needles in his arm - because he was bfing at the time

Harpsichordcarrier is always so helpful with things like that

Fair enough HC, but I still think they should have consulted me. I was already feeling enough like an outsider, with not being able to pick him up or feed him. Both my babies were given formula without my consent too. I don't even know what brand they gave them, or how much. Most parents decide whether or not to give their child formula, or give a dummy, or put honey/syrup on it for that matter.

well that isn't on, of course greensleeves - you should have been consulted about any medical intervention.
tiktok everyone knows mouth ulcers aren't contagious
you're right, spidermama. dd1 was recently asked by a (GP) friend if she has medicine when she is poorly. she said "no my mummy gives me "more" (her word for bf) and that makes me feel better."

Ds said yesterday "I don't need any plasters I just need milkies"

Greensleeves · 19/07/2006 21:15

Franny that's so sweet, I can imagine him saying it
