Bf suddenly become very painful at 18mo

Have bf dd for 18 months and despite a few weeks at the beginning, had no real issues.
She feeds morning night and possibly 1/2 feeds during the day.
Has had teeth for a year and never had any problems with them.
No visible marks on my nipple (only feed from one side now) but my nipple is constantly sore to touch and it's really painful to feed her now.
She has a large gap between her front teeth and I'm wondering if it's that? If my nipple is rubbing between them? But she's had those teeth quite a while without this.
It seems to have come on quite quickly and I don't know what the answer is as I don't want to stop bf.

Oh and nothing I can think that started it. She doesn't pull or mess about with it?

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon but in the meantime I have found two things cause this with my DS.

  1. Hormonal changes (TOTM, pregnancy!)
  2. Lazy latch

Not a lot I can do about number one but for number two a reminder to "suck properly please" usually works.

Probably not much help but thought I'd share.

Well I've been talking to her about how she latches but to be honest I'm not sure that's the problem. She's good with her milk greedy and doesn't like to mess about. She takes it very seriously and seems upset if anything when it really hurts.
Im mid cycle id guess?! don't think I'm ovulating and not due Af for another 10 days or so.
We are ttc but I don't think it's that.
I'm actually considering trying to swap boobs? She is not impressed by this but I can't see another way? Sad

Can't poas for at least another week! I'd love it to be that Grin but I highly doubt it is.
Thanks for the link, have had a little look.
Think we might try changing position and maybe just constantly reminding her about her latch? If it is her teeth god knows what to do about that?!
