Am still breastfeeding my 28 month little boy and have been trying to conceive number two for an age. Periods came back just after he was one but were all over the place. Lots of problems with delayed ovulation and short luteal phase (around 10 days for months). Finally weaned him over the day a few months ago and have noticed I am now ovulating on day 14 with a 13-14 day luteal phase but still not pregnant. Still co sleeping and feeding before bed then on and off in the night. My question is did anyone have to totally wean to get pregnant even though their periods had returned?? The fact that my cycle has been much more normal since day weaning makes me think that the breastfeeding is making things difficult and I could just sit it out and wait for him to wean and do it the natural way but the other part of me is worried if I don't wean him totally to find out if it's the cause, I could be resting on my laurels getting help for another fertility issue! Any advice would be welcome!

Many thanks Grin

No, for me it wasn't the day feeds, I still did those. It was sticking DS in his own room. The night feeds didn't stop but were reduced and I got pg twice after that.
