Where do you put the other arm? Feeding lying down.

Doing night bf, lying down on my right side so ds is on the outer edge of the bed. I give him right boob then to offer left, lean over further. But then my right arm gets all squished and crampy. Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I stick mine up above my head, under my pillow!

I lie on my right side. I lie my right arm along put not on the pillow.

Make sure the baby is low enough at your side. He needs to be able to tip head back and latch.

I always found if my baby was lined up right, I had enough space for my arm along the pillow and higher than their heads.

Very good skill to learn lying down to nurse. Latch baby on and go back to sleep...bliss :)

YY your arm should be straight out between baby and pillow to stop them scooching up and under it! Also stops you from rolling too far over if you fall asleep.

I did find it made my arm go to sleep but that's just a bit of a downside of co-sleeping. My hips got achy from lying on one side constantly too. Once DS was about 2 months old we got a bedside cot and I would push him over into that after feeding which meant I could lie on my back or front (!!!) or roll over to cuddle my then partner.

I am quite impressed you've mastered the rolling technique though! Took me ages to work that one out, I used to do one side then pull DS onto my chest, roll us both over and do the other!

I used to have my arm straight out with DDs head resting on it then I would curl it round her.
