Pregnancy, breastfeeding and contractions

I am hoping for a bit of advice and shared experiences from those of you who continued to breastfeed during pregnancy. I am 24 weeks and still feeding DS1 who will be three next month. He only feeds once a day and often less frequently. However, I have noticed slightly painful (like period pain) contractions when feeding. I never noticed Braxton hicks when pg with him so it's a new experience. Do I need to worry or is this normal? Any information I have found on the oxytocin/contraction link and risk of premature labour seems inconclusive. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated.

I don't have experience of this but have you read this article by Hilary Flower?

I fed dd3when pg and got some contractions. I think its fairly common

Thanks for the replies. They were regular for over an hour so I called the midwife who asked me to go to the labour ward. They stopped after a couple of hours and I was sent home with antibiotics. They suspected a uti was causing it but I think it is likely it was the feeding as the urine dip test came back negative.
