Sterilising sippy cups

Hi. I'm jut after some advice please. DD2 is 6mo. She eats a bit throughout the day and I'm starting to give her formula in a sippy cup (she was ebf before 6 months). Do I need to sterilise the cups after every use or will once every couple of uses do now?

At 6 months I really wouldn't bother. I'd give them a good rinse and wash in a hot dishwasher or in very hot water.

As motheringshites said just a good wash.

Definitely no need to sterilise them (just like plates and cutlery)

Ok, great, thank you. And do I need to be making it with just-boiled water still? Presumably it doesn't need to be sterile any more as she's on the food now. Or is that wrong?

Yes, you need to make it up in the same way. The cups do not need to be sterilised but you should still sterilise the bottles (particularly the teats).

You do need to make formula the same as it kills the bugs in the formula. Don't make up formula with cold water or tap water.
