Weird question about the feel of my bfing boobs...

My boobs are suddenly much softer??

DS is 10 weeks tomorrow. Still feeding as much as always.. but my boobs are not getting so 'full' between feeds. Does anybody know if this is normal healthy adaptation or if it's worrying and I need more rest/fluids whatever...???

Ivd read (on a thread but can't remember which one) that this is normal. Happened to me about the same time. DD is 13 weeks now and is still thriving.

Normal. Your body is getting used to bfing and your boobs stop being engorged all the time. It's far more pleasant!

It's normal.. your supply is established and won't need to be stored in the boob.. it'll just come when it's needed unless you miss feeds and then later on it'll just come when summoned.

I have the same, they kind of resemble spaniels lugs when DD is finished with them

DD is 13 weeks and I'm the same. I find it weird and worrying, especially now she seems fussy on the breast, I think she's annoyed that my let down is slower. I keep worrying there is no milk coming out, but she is gaining weight well.

It is definitely normal. It means you're switching from hormonal post-birth supply to baby led demand supply.

If the baby is getting frustrated with the flow on one side, switch them to the other, and then back again as many times as you want. Normally though at this age they just get distracted by the world around them which can easily be mistaken for frustration/boredom!

another vote for normal. a part of me was a bit disappointed to lose the porn star cleavage and enormous bazookas

And it makes sense if you think about it, because biologically humans are supposed to breastfeed for about 7 years (OK I did it for a long time but not that long! :)) and if you were constantly getting engorged all that time then women would suffer from mastitis all the time and probably die off in the olden times from infection, not to mention it would be rather impractical to have football/leaking boobs every time you needed to be away from your child as they got more independent.
