9 week old FF baby getting very frustrated

My ds is 9 wks today, over the past week there has been a few feeds where he is struggling and wriggling out of mine and dh's arms, crying while he's got the bottle in his mouth. I can't figure out whats wrong.

Poor little one it is so frustrating, we've had trouble with bf and he was mixed fed from 3 wks till last week as he was getting so frustrated with the boob I gave up - I figured the milk wasn't coming out fast enough.

Any ideas? It seems a bit soon to move to a faster flowing teet.

Did you have him checked for tongue tie? that would have affected his BF latch and poss his bottle feeding.

Other ideas: is he getting over hungry before his feed? wind? it took me ages to realise how thoroughly I had to wind DD. Took longer than the feeds, and then some. She always needed to burp once or twice halfway down a bottle too, the little guzzler.

Is he ok lying flat? keeping the milk he drinks down? if no then consider reflux. But I think this sort of problem is fairly common at this age, their systems are still so tiny and they're monstrously hungry I imagine.

Is he ok between feeds or having trouble getting wind up?

What bottles are you using? Maybe try a different brand, I like our mam ones ds3 gets barely any wind with them,dr browns are supposed to be good too.

Thanks ops we wind him about every 30mls and he seems to burp fine. He's on tommee tippee slow flow. We haven't had him checked for tt he seems to be able to poke his tongue out but will have the hv check. Yes sometimes he is hungry but we do try and preempt a melt down. Mmmm...
