Don't bother with "proper" measuring. Get a stretchy Bravado Seamless Silk bra. In the early days when your milk is coming in your breasts can change size and shape several times a day. I kept getting mastitis with structured bras. The Bravados changed my life.

Where can I get these bravado bras?

My baby is a week and a half old now

John Lewis stock them in store and online.

The online NCT shop has them too, in lots of colours.

They come in small, medium, large instead of backs and cups. I've stopped feeding during the day, but still wear them. They are so comfy!

Based on my own experience only, I'd say around 3 or 4 weeks post partum - when milk has come in, things are settling down a bit and your ribcage is starting to go back down again. Absolutely no point in getting measured when still pregnant IMO!

I second nancerama - in the meantime get a stretchy bra. I used Emma-Jane www.emma-jane.com/nursing-bra-365.htm and continued to wear them at night once I'd been fitted for a proper nursing bra.
