Blood in nappy, is my ebf baby constipated?

DS is 5 mths and about a month ago we eventually got the bf thing sussed (after months of oversupply and forceful let down). I was really pleased to have put an end to frothy green poos and now his poos are healthy mustard but they are not regular, he can go two days without a poo and then loads in one day. I wasn't really worried except in the last couple of days there have been streaks of fresh red blood. It's only a little bit, and stringy like mucus. Both times I've found it in wet not soiled nappies. But he never appears to be straining. Any ideas before I rush to the doctors??

no ideas sorry. I'd be ringing the doctors for reassurance x

I also think you need to go to your GP. It is probably nothing to worry about, but get it checked out.
