Breastfeeding after a boob job

A friend of mine who had a rather nice boob job is now having problems breastfeeding. She had been told that it would be fine, but although her boobs feel as if they're full of milk, none seems to come out of her nipples

Has anyone heard of this happening before? Has anyone successfully breastfed post boob op? All advice gratefully received!

How does she know none comes out? It's normal not to see milk. It comes out into the baby's mouth and is swallowed! If her breasts feel full, there is milk there. Paula Yates breastfed TigerLily successfuly after her op (and it nearly makes me cry to type that, because she died! And I didn't even like her!)

Don't know answer to that. Will ask her

Know she'd been to see her doc who was bemused but suggested she just used formula!

Hi, I have a boob job, under the muscle, & breastfed DD for 2 years with no problems. In fact my boobs look more natural now

(yes changed my name for this post)
