So I've finished BF and my Bs are in an interesting state! Normal?!

I stopped feeding my 17mo DS about two weeks ago. I was only doing one feed a day, last thing at night, by then. The trouble is, my right bosom is HUGELY engorged and painful, while the left one is totally deflated and minute (sadly, this IS normal for my non-BF state...)

How long do they usually take to go down? And is it normal to have such...erm... asymmetry? I was feeding on both sides quite equally, or so I thought.

I have the same thing. My right boob is really sore and the baby will not take even a sip to help me out. And I free cycled my breast pump. Hand expressing is really painful and doesn't help much. Ouch!!! It's about time they settled down and evened out ffs.

I'm in the same boat...it's been a week now since I've stopped bfing 10mo DS and I'm in bits. I can't go running because it hurts too much. I expressed a little the first few days but stopped because I was afraid I was making it worse. With DS1 I only fed for 3 months and it took a couple of days to stop.

Oh and my period has returned with a vengance today, first since I got pregnant. Ouch everywhere.

I've tried cabbage leaves, sudafed...Anyone other suggestions anyone please? Or tell me that it won't be much longer? Feeling very hacked off at the moment!

Mine has now gone down, leaving a very hard ridgy bit which I assume is blocked duct(s) and is very painful... I have had this, and mastitis, before, but I fed my way out of trouble. A friend said I have to squeeze it in the shower but the thought is horrific - the pain!!!

I did have blocked ducts with DS1 and used a wide toothed comb in the shower to sort it out...I was in a lot of pain yesterday, and in the end used this (my boob was too engorged to fit in the pump) and got about an oz out of each boob. I am much better now and they have gone down a lot, and not filled up again thank fuck. It didn't hurt either, so maybe you could try that? Hope it gets better for you soon Flower :)
