I have virtually stopped breastfeeding DS now. Tiny tiny bit at night if he asks (going with don't offer, don't refuse method). He is 2.
My periods came back after about 9 months after birth IIRC, and have been pretty regular in my usual pattern. Well this week total no show. No PMT symptoms, nada. I can't be pregnant, I mean totally cannot, nothing going on in that department.
I was wondering if anyone had had late periods after stopping breastfeeding? I know hormones are bound to be affected but I thought it would possibly have the opposite effect, as BF is sort of contraception at first isn't it?
I've booked a GP appointment as I'm also having urge to urinate a lot so I want to rule out anything more worrrying. Maybe I have UTI or cyst?
