Missing a couple of feeds tomorrow afternoon.

We're off to a wedding tomorrow so will miss the breast feeds in the afternoon, I've been mixed feeding for a while so she'll be on the bottle during the day with either expressed milk or formula. I wasn't concerned about this until earlier when a friend said my milk will dry up!!

I'm only missing the afternoon feeds, surely it won't go that quickly?! She'll have her morning and night feeds as usual.

She's 20 weeks old and has been mixed fed from 3weeks due - I'm a bfar mum.

Anyone experienced this or was my good intentioned friend talking rubbish?

It's unlikely your milk will dry up from missing 2 feeds, but it's very likely that you will get engorged and uncomfortable. You will almost certainly need to excuse yourself to express a couple of times. You'd better stock up on the breast pads too!
