Do exclusively bottle fed babies ever go through periods of refusing bottles?

DD has been mixed fed since about 5 months (1 bottle formula daily, the rest breast feeds). Her milk feeds have decreased since she started BLW but last night she completely refused a bottle. My DS was a bottle refuser and I was so keen to make sure DD wasn't but wanted the best of both worlds so continued BF rather than switching fully to formula.

So.. Is there another reason why she may suddenly be refusing bottles or is this her expressing a preference? She refused a bottle again this morning so was not a one off? Sadly, I do feel I would rather stop BF entirely than find myself back in a position where only I can feed DD but I don't want to make any rash decisions. Thanks in advance.

Although I do not have first hand knowledge both my sister's in law had this and stopped bottle as a result. They rarely bottle fed though, maybe just once a week or so

When my LO was teething, needed the teet size changing or dropping a bottle he would refuse a feed or be very fussy with it.

How old is she? From 7 months old DS would only hold the bottle himself and refuse if I was holding it for him.

7 months! Maybe a tricky age then..
