Filtered Water - Ok to drink?

Hi, my ds1 is nearly 7 months, and have found out that I still need to boil tapwater for his formula (until he is 12 months) but when it comes to drinking water on it's own, I know it doesn't have to be boiled - and can come straight from the tap - but is it ok to give him filtered (not bottled) water?
Maybe a dumb question, but am just not sure?
Thanks in Advance for you help

I stand correted the brita web site says it's ok

Is filtered water good for babies?

Yes. Babies also benefit from the advantages of filtered water, for example the reduction in heavy metals such as lead and copper. Nevertheless, it cannot be emphasised enough that drinking water must be boiled for the preparation of baby food. This also applies to filtered water

Thanks FairyDust - use filtered water in the kettle, so boil this for making formula. But give filtered water straight from filter for ds to drink as is. So hopefully ok?
Thanks again
