Sick of people asking if 10 week old sleeps through...

DD is 10 weeks and ebf. Breastfeeding is going really well and Im thrilled after giving up with my other two much earlier for various reasons.
So why do people keep asking me if she sleeps through/is good at night, then looking at me like shes an alien when I say she feeds 2/3hourly .Isnt this normal at this stage ?
I even had someone tell me my milk isnt strong enough lat the weekend !

I think I just need some reassurance that this is normal at this stage ?

Aaaargh, people are a nightmare sometimes!! Sounds like you and your baby are very normal and healthy and doing a good job!

This is totally normal! I have a 17 week old who is still feeding frequently, every 3 to 4 hours. Every baby is different. You're doing really well.

Totally normal. I'd be more worried if they were sleeping through tbh!

All completely normal, it annoys me that that these sorts of comments really undermine breastfeeding even if they are said as off the cuff remarks.

Sounds like you are doing brilliantly, your milk quality will be fine and feeding every 2-3 hours is perfect too. Thanks

Didn't you know that in our parents' generation that all babies slept through 12 hours at 6 weeks?

Formula and baby rice in their bottle is the answer.

Your baby is completely normal - I have come to the conclusion that you just block out the bad sleeping in years to come because noone seems to remember it, yet when you talk to other mothers of children under 3, most seem to sleep 'badly.' Bad isn't really bad, its normal. And 'good' is just plain weird.

DS is one of six cousins, 2 were early sttners, DS was kinda average (7.5 months) and 3 are/were not so great.

Kinda turned into a rant.

I'd just lie. 'Yeah he's going right through, he walks up to bed, gets ready all by himself and lays in until 9am'

Ignore, do a blank face. Smile and nod if you must. My DS slept through from 8 months and I think I was pretty lucky - not a chance at 10 weeks!
